Our NameCommitted to the harvest, we chose a name typically associated with agriculture. A furrow press, in actuality, is a device that firms and levels the earth in a furrow after plowing. The press firmly sets the seed in its bed in hopes of boosting seed germination. Our MissionOur desire at Furrow Press is to publish non-fiction Christian books to help establish the seed of God’s Word in the hearts of men and women, thereby advancing the harvest. While others sow the seed, we publish books to set the seed in the hearts of readers. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “The ones who do the planting or watering aren’t important, but God is important because He is the one who makes the seed grow” (1 Corinthians 3:7). Our ValuesWe value: ▪ The Godhead, one in three and three in one—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4–5; Matt. 28:19). ▪ Words but none more highly than the Word of God as given to us in the Holy Bible. We believe it to be truly inspired by God and useful “to teach us what is true” and enabling us “to do what is right” (2 Tim. 3:16) ▪ Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8). ▪ Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit and the outpouring of Pentecost (Luke 24:49; Acts 2). ▪ Humanity, knowing we are all made in the image of God (Gen. 1:27). We are committed to go into all the world and gather the harvest until Christ returns (John 4:35; Mark 16:15; Matt. 25:31–32). |
